Entry Guidelines

Nomination entries are free of charge.

Seatrade reserves the right to publish, in whole or part, details of any entries submitted following announcement of the shortlisted entrants.

All entries must be received by 6 Aug 2010. There shall be no extension to this date.

Entrants must use the official electronic entry forms that can be found in this webpage. All entries must be submitted in both English and Chinese.

Entrants may submit entries in more than one category. However, a separate form must be completed for each entry. Companies or individuals may nominate themselves or be nominated by third parties.

No correspondence will be entered into concerning the eligibility of any application.

The judges shall have sole and absolute discretion in determining whether or not an application meets the requirements of or is in accordance with these rules and conditions. If deemed necessary the judges may request further information or clarifications from the entrants.

PROCEDURE
The Entry form can be downloaded as a complete file (MS Word) here and completed on screen.

All entry forms must be fully completed electronically in English and Chinese.

Entries must provide sufficient relevant information to enable the judges to have a clear understanding of the process, product or procedure involved, its merits and resulting benefits. Accuracy of figures and other information is essential.

The forms may be returned by fax or email. Supporting materials like testimonials, certificates, facts and figures may be submitted electronically, with the entry, if they will assist assessment. Such additional material should not total more than 2MB and/or 4 pages.

All entries will be acknowledged. If no acknowledgment is received within fourteen days of submission, please contact Ms Wang Xiaojia by email: xwang@seatrade-asia.com

Submission of the entry form confirms that the entering company or organisation understands and agrees with the Terms & Conditions of the scheme.

The list of finalists in each category will be announced in this website

JUDGING
All submissions will be assessed by an independent panel of judges. The judges’ decision, which is final, will be announced at the Awards Ceremony Dinner on Wednesday October 13, 2010.



No correspondence as to the reason why a particular entry was not successful can be entered into following the short listing of entries or the announcement of the winners. As the judging committee’s evaluation can only be based on evidence provided, it cannot be extended or interpreted beyond the purposes of the Seatrade Awards scheme, to give guarantees to any subsequent commercial usage.



Seatrade and/or the judges may, at their discretion, decide not to make an Award if they consider that none of the entries reach the required standard.



Winners will NOT be advised before the Awards Ceremony Dinner. However, entrants will be notified if they have been included in the short list of entries. These entrants should ensure that they or a representative will be able to attend the Dinner for the presentation ceremony.

AWARDS PRESENTATION
The winners will be announced at the Seatrade China Awards 2010 gala dinner presentation on Wednesday October 13, 2010 at Shangri-La, Dalian, China.

Shortlisted companies will be advised of further details prior to the awards ceremony dinner. Shortlisted entrants should ensure that they or their representative(s) are able to attend the ceremony on October 13, 2010.

Winners will each receive a trophy, specially commissioned by Seatrade. Runners-up will be presented with certificates of commendation. All short-listed companies may use the Seatrade China Awards logo on their websites, stationery and publicity material in relation to the subject of the short listed entry.
